02-26-2019 Lackluster Effort as Express Fall to Simcoe
A short handed Carmeuse Lime LL#2 side did not have one of their better efforts last night as they took on the Simcoe Warriors and fell 4-0. Ingersoll only managed to make the game sheet in the third period when they took their only penalty of the game.
The opening faceoff was indicative of how they game would eventually play out as the home town Warriors needed only 0:11 seconds to open the scoring. After being rattled early on the visitors managed to get back into the game and trailed 1-0 after the first period.
The second period saw Ingersoll start to wait on the Warriors as the Warriors seemed to win every loose puck and board battle. The visitors never managed to generate and sustained offensive pressure or scoring opportunities. Goalie Dawson Sharpe was called upon to make a number of saves but the Warriors would add to their lead with 2:55 left in the second.
