Mari Cook Memorial Tournament
What better way to end March break than compete in a tournament. The Ingersoll VPM would travel to Simcoe to take part in the Marci Cook Memorial.
Ingersoll would finish the round robin 3-0 with 25 goals for and only 4 against. The boys played well rounded team hockey and it showed. On Sunday the 18th Ingersoll would take on #4 seed Simcoe Molars in the Semis. It was a very competitive game and Ingersoll never had a comfortable lead until 54 sec to go in the game when they extended a 3 goal margin to six. #33 Ben Baker shutout the Simcoe Molars for the second time in the tournament.
The finals would see a very tired but incredibly motivated Ingersoll team take on the Wellend Predators. Everything was working like a well oiled machine and Ingersoll powered their way to a 14-2 win and the tournament championship. It was a great way to end a fun weekend of hockey and team bonding.
The coaching staff is very pleased with the dedication, effort and commitment shown by all the boys. It is a pleasure coaching each one of them.
