Finals Game 1
Ingersoll VPM rolled into Paris for game 1 of the finals fresh off a tournament win and riding a 6 game winning streak. Paris undefeated in the second half of the season would be the teams toughest test to date.

Ingersoll would get things going with #9 Brandt Klopher scoring first to make it 1-0 Ingersoll. The assist went to #16 Owen Nigh. Paris would counter only a couple minutes later to even the score. #16 Owen Nigh would jump on a rebound and make it 2-1 Ingersoll. Assists to Brandt Klopher and #18 Carter Skevington. Paris would add another and the first period would end 2-2.

Paris would take their first lead of the game midway through the 2nd period. There was no quit in the Ingersoll team as Brandt would score his second goal of the night only a few minutes later to make it 3-3. Paris would take the lead again with under 3 minutes left in the period but Brandt Klopher would complete the hat trick and tie the game with just over 2 minutes remaining in the second.

The third period saw the whole team dig down deep especially #33 Ben Bakker who was rock solid in net. The third period saw both teams get good chances at getting the go ahead goal but the buzzer sounded in a 4-4 tie.

The tension was high as Paris sent out their top scorers to try and end things early. As they have all game the Ingersoll defence weathered the storm giving the offence a chance to work their magic. #16 Owen Nigh was able to get a shot in front of the net that bounced off the goalies pads right to a waiting #8 Ryan Knox for a game winning goal.

Ingersoll prevails in an exciting start to the finals and hands Paris their first loss of the season. The team now prepares for game 2 Tuesday in Ingersoll.
