Anticipated Rematch
Ingersoll welcomed Burford for a redo of a game that snowed out last week.
The last time these teams played it ended in a heartbreaking tie when Burford scored with 2 sec on the clock in the third. This game would turn out to be as equally entertaining as both teams picked up where they left off. #16 Owen Nigh would get things going for Ingersoll with a first period goal assisted by #18 Carter Skevington. Burford would net 2 and take a 2-1 lead going into the second. Owen would do it again in the second with another goal from a fantastic Carter Skevington pass.
Carter Skevington from #9 Brandt Klopher would give Ingersoll the lead. Burford would tie it 3-3 mid way through the third but the third period is traditionally Ingersoll's strongest and they would prove that once again. Carter Skevington would score 2 goals unassisted in less than a minute to put Ingersoll ahead 5-3. Burford was not done and was looking for some late game magic again by pulling their goalie. They were able to score once to make it 4-5 but the Ingersoll defence and goalie Ben Baker were up to the challenge and shut the door for a 5-4 Ingersoll win.
