In a battle of undefeated teams Ingersoll welcomed Paris to town Monday night
#16 Owen Nigh would get things started for Ingersoll scoring an unassisted goal to make it 1-0 early in the first. Paris would score goals in the first, two in the second and an empty net with 50 seconds to go in the third to take a commanding 4-1 lead. The game was far from over though as Ingersoll was showing no quit and was not going to hand the game over that easy. #18 Carter Skevington scored immediately after Burford with an assist to #9 Brandt Klopher to make it 4-2. They were not done there as with 10 seconds to go Carter and Brandt pulled it off again making it 4-3. What a comeback for a team that was down 4-1 with under a minute to play. The net was empty again and Ingersoll applied the pressure but just ran out of time as Paris escaped with the 4-3 win. They definitely had them on their heels though.
Goalie Ben Baker was the first star for Ingersoll and made countless saves to keep Ingersoll in the game. The defense also deserves a lot of credit as they were challenged often but were up to the task. Great game
