Coming off a 3-0 win over Ingersoll 2 on Sunday morning, Ingersoll VPM was back at it this time against Tillsonburg 2.
Both teams came ready to play and the result was a very competitive game. Lots of puck battles and back and forth action led to a very entertaining first period. #18 Carter Skevington would find the back of the net late in the first period to give Ingersoll a 1-0 lead. Ingersoll would expand their lead with 3 minutes to go in the second with #5 Lucus Folkema scoring a beautiful goal after deking out the defense and goalie. Tillsonburg did not quit and scored a goal before time expired in the second period. The third period was action packed. The Ingersoll defense of Ryan Wilson, Marshall Kirmiris, Owen Fedy and Ryan Knox were shutting down the Tillsonburg offense all game and played as a well oiled unit. #1 Tanner Belore had another great performance in net stopping several good Tillsonburg scoring opportunities.
#18 Carter Skevington would give Ingersoll the insurance goal with less than 2 minutes to go on way to a 3-1 win. Another great game that was fun to watch, good job boys!
