CARMEUSE FAST AND FURIOUS
Carmeuse Lime Ltd had a fast and furious start to Saturday night’s game against the Belmont Rangers at the IDMC.  Luke Zegers, #3, with the help of Christian Johnston, #9, started the Carmeuse offense at 13:47 of the first period.  Less than four minutes later, #12, Kirk Meek put the puck on the stick of Joel Couse, #4, who wasted no time putting his team up by two.   Belmont would make of a powerplay opportunity narrowing the Carmeuse Lime lead to one at 3:49 of the period.

It would be the Belmont Rangers who would score first in the second period, making the score 2-2 at 11:25.  This would be the last goal afforded by Carmeuse net-minder, Darren Robinson, #1.  Dakota Lednicky, #10, assisted by #2 Colin Wellar-Burgess made good on a powerplay opportunity at 9:14.    With the score 3-2,   Mike Rotteveel, #11, assisted by Joel Couse and #8, Mitch Graham, would score the insurance at 2:29.

Carmeuse continued to create many opportunities throughout the third period, much like they had in the previous two.  Tyler Goyette gave many skating and stick handling seminars throughout, yet he was shut-down by the Belmont net-minder.  You can be sure Goyette will be on the game sheet in the very near future. Dakota Lednicky, #10, made of one opportunity when he scored his second of the night, unassisted, at 1:10 of the third period.
