Game 15 Ingersoll Express Novice LL1 Anderson Appliances vs Six Nations Blackhawks
This was our first game of two today and it came very close to a forfeit. It was an early morning game for the Six Nations and a variety of factors played out so that at start time they did not have enough to play. With one more team member on the way rather than a forfeit the teams agreed to play 4 on 4 giving Six nations one player on the bench. With a late start we managed to almost get two periods played.
1st Period started off with Six Nations getting the 1st goal at 8:51. Ingersoll quickly reacted and scored next with a goal by #16 Aaden going right from the face off. Both teams were playing hard and Logan had a great save at 7:23. At 7:05 we took the lead with a goal by #16 Aaden made easier with some great defense work by #8 Teddy. #5 Graeme had a fantastic shot on net but it was a great save by the Six Nations goalie. At 5:31 we scored our last goal of the period #9 Kyle assisted by Jackson and Six Nations got their last goal of the period at 3:30 left ending the period with a score of 3-2.
In between periods we took a few minutes so Logan could get his goalie pad straps fixed and the Six Nations got a much needed break.
2nd Period started off with the first goal going to Six Nations at 7:29 and we were back to a tie game. #16 Aaden broke the tie again with a goal at 6:53. At 6:10 #12 Jackson got a great goal with a wraparound shot. Shortly after that the Six Nations had a great save by the goalie and #2 Brayden attempted a shot on the Six Nations net. At 2:20 #17 Kolton got our 6th goal and with 2:06 left in the period came the final goal of the game #1 Addie all the way from the blue line for her 1st goal of the season.
Final score was 7-3. Great job to both teams!
Congratulations #16 Aaden for the hat trick making it 9 goals for the season, #9 Kyle for his 12th goal of the season, #12 Jackson on his 3rd goal and 2nd assist of the season, #17 Kolton on his 8th goal of the season and a huge Congrat’s to #1 Addie for her 1st goal and a fantastic one!
