‘A’ Division Game 9–Ingersoll Express Novice LL1 Anderson Appliances vs Tillsonburg Tornadoes

1 st Period
Coming off a win and five straight days of hockey for the team was ready to play. At 7:25 a great
attempt by Kyle, followed by a goal at 7:06 by #17 Kolton assisted by #8 Teddy. Great defense by Sam
& Teddy. At 4:46 Tillsonburg attempt on our net and a great save by Jackson in net. Defense was
working hard tonight. Another save by Jackson. And at 2:08 a fantastic attempt by Owen on net. Great
first period Ingersoll 1-0. Shots on net 5-5.
2 nd Period
Kolten started the period off with a shot on the Tillsonburg net at 9:06. Great defense work by #3 Ben
keeping it in the Tillsonburg end. Some great action from #19 Blake and great defense. #9 Kyle with
another attempt on net, followed by an attempt by #14 Carson that was so close. Shots on net Ingersoll
9 – Tillsonburg 5. At 4:45 left in the period Tillsonburg had a close shot on our net and nearly tied the
game. This was a nail bitter game. Two more saves by Jackson and we ended the period with an
attempt on the Tillsonburg net by #2 Brayden. Shot on net Ingersoll 11-Tillsonburg 10.
3 rd Period
The score was 1-0 for Ingersoll at the start of the third. Tillsonburg had an early attempt which was
stopped by Kyle. Jackson had a great save on their next attempt. The game was way too close. At 6:43
#4 Owen increased our lead to 2-0 and our goalie celebrated with a snow angel. Tillsonburg wasn’t
going down without a fight and with over 6 minutes left in the period it was still anyone’s game. A very
evenly matched game with shots on net Ingersoll 14-13 Tillsonburg. At 4:50 Tillsonburg scored bringing
the score to 2-1. Great job Kyle stopping Tillsonburg on the next attempt and a great fight for the puck
Graeme. The action was intense. During the last few minutes Tillsonburg made multiple attempts to
pull their goalie to try and tie the game. Our team was working hard to keep control of the puck. The
Tillsonburg goalie finally made it to the bench and we had an open net. The energy in the stands and
cheering were awesome as the final seconds played out. One of the best games! Awesome job to the
team and coaches. Shots on net Ingersoll 18- Tillsonburg 17.

Congratulations #17 Kolton and #4 Owen on another goal each making it 12 and 4 for the season and to
#8 for another assist for his 2 nd of the season.
