Nov. 21st Tournament Finished on a High Note
The end of the Tim Greavette Tournament was the highlight of the weekend.
Facing Caledonia early on Sunday morning demonstrated that the Unifor Local 88 Midget Express hit their rhythm. Caledonia could not gain on our team, after 2 goals in the first period, scored by Tyler Arts #7 (assist Christian Johnston #20), Ben Jentz #10 (assists Clayton Hammond #3, Colin Weller-Burgess #2), and a third early in the 2nd period by Nathan Gould #12 (assists Kyle Rachar #19, Tanner Gedies #11). Ingersoll's next goal came from Johnston #20 (assist Hammond, Eric Savoie #6). Caledonia's lone goal in the 2nd was not enough, thanks to Carson Rachar #1 in net . Ingersoll managed to add two more by Tyler Goyette #15 (assist Justin Holmes #17) and Savoie (assist K. Rachar). It was a great way to end the weekend.
Upon their return home, the team headed to Tavistock on Monday, Nov. 21st to continue the regular season. Period 1 remained scoreless, thanks again to C. Rachar in net. Jentz (assist Hammond) scored the first goal, Savoie (assist Arts) the next and Arts the third (assists K. Rachar and Savoie) to end the game in a tie.
