Thursday, March 23rd- the semi-final game of Southern Counties.
With very few recent ice-times under their belt due to March Break, the Ingersoll Express Unifor 88 Midget Rep team faced off against their longtime rivals, the Caledonia Thunder.

These two teams very clearly demonstrated their equity, during scoreless first and second periods. Ryan Calder #33 held off many slippery attempts to score throughout.  In the third, with only three minutes left in the period, Caledonia faked right and caught the corner for the first goal of the game.  Coach Frank Mueller, assisted by John Milton and Derik Tonin called a much needed time out. The strategy was discussed and the players headed out. The Express kept the puck in the Caledonia zone, and fed it to the defence once, but no luck. A second try to Colin Weller-Burgess #2, into Tyler Arts #7 hit the back of the net with only 40 seconds to go to tie the game up.  Moving into an overtime period, parents and fans were on the edge of their seats.  Just  three minutes in Ryan Cooper #9, assisted by Justin Holmes #17 scored, sealing the fate of the Thunder. The Ingersoll Express now moves on to the final game of Southern Counties in Burford on April 2nd, a first for many on the team. Join the team and their fans there, for the last of this year’s hockey season for the Midget Rep team.
