ANOTHER CHAMPIONSHIP BANNER COMING TO THE IDMC
Despite the
unfortunate ending to what had been a classic and exciting championship game, which meant the teams had to leave the ice before the banner was presented, the Unifor Local 88 Major
Midget Rep Team made their way back to the now resurfaced ice for a team photo.

After Ingersoll makes the score 2-0 with only twelve seconds left on the clock, the Simcoe coaching staff called a timeout and made a goaltending change. Following the faceoff at centre ice, the Ingersoll Captain was mauled from behind. It was only the beginning to a very unfortunate ending to a very well-played championship game, as the Simcoe players on the ice, including the new goaltender, and those additional Simcoe players who jumped the boards attempted to engage the five Ingersoll players on the ice
