Novice LL#1 Anderson Appliances Continues Winning Ways
Gearing Up For A Big Week

The Novice LL#1 Anderson Appliance team was gearing up for a big week playing 4 games in 7 days.  They proved up for the challenge by sweeping the week taking wins in all 4 games! They started the week out on the road in Norwich on Sunday February 5th.  Brandt K. would score the only pair of goals for the game and Graeme A. was unstoppable in net recording another shutout giving the Anderson Appliance team a 2-0 win.

Game #2 was held at home against the Tillsonburg Tornadoes #1 team. The Tornadoes came out strong scoring the only goal of the first period.  Coming from behind isn’t new for this Ingersoll team and they weren’t going to go down without a fight.  Ingersoll answered with a goal by Blake R., his first of the season! The Ingersoll defence along with goaltender Graeme A. were on fire once again shutting down the Tornadoes for the rest of the game.  Travis N. would score the go-ahead goal in the third and Brandt K. put an extra point up on the board for insurance.

Game #3 came after one day’s rest and would have the Ingersoll team travelling to Tillsonburg for a rematch.  Ingersoll came out strong taking the lead in the first off goals by Brandt K. and Mason D.  Tillsonburg was not going to lay down so easy and tied it up during the second period.  However, Mason D.’s second goal of the game during the second period would take the lead and Tillsonburg would not be able to answer back. Brandt K. and Drew P. would add insurance goals in the third making the final score 5-2.

The final game of the week would prove to be a nail biter.  Ingersoll travelled to Six Nations to play the Blackhawks. Ingersoll came out strong scoring 3 unanswered goals in the first period. During the second period Ingersoll and Six Nations would exchange goals making the score 5-2.  The Blackhawks turned up the heat in the third period scoring twice making it 6-4 for Ingersoll and pulling their goaltender for the last minute of play. However, the Ingersoll net minder Graeme A. would not buckle under the pressure and was able to hold them off.  Goals in this game went to Brandt K. (3), Drew P. (1), Blake R. (1) and Mason D. (1).  Ingersoll also saw assists from Jackson C. (2), Addisen H. (3), Blake R. (1), Charlotte R. (1), Travis N. (1) and Owen F. (1).

Well done Ingersoll!
