Novice LL#1 Anderson Appliances vs Tillsonburg #1
On November 23rd the Novice Local League #1 Anderson Appliances team traveled to Tillsonburg to take on the LL Tornadoes #1 team. It was a cold and wet night making the drive to the arena tough and the game itself ended up being just as tough for both teams.

This game was Drew. P debut in-between the pipes for the LL #1 Anderson Appliances team and he did not disappoint as he was able to keep the score close all game long. The 1st period was a scoreless period with both teams feeling each other out. # 6 Brandt. K had a strong breakaway but the shot was pushed wide by the Tillsonburg goalie. Not long after Tillsonburg tested the defense of the Express team but #3 Kyle. V was on fire playing good defense all period long helping to keep the score 0-0.

The 2nd period was just as busy as the first, again # 6 Brandt. K had an amazing breakaway but was stoned by the Tillsonburg goalie. Drew. P came up big for Ingersoll on numerous attempts as the Tillsonburg team was able to get a few breakaways. One breakaway at the 3:09 mark ended up hurting Ingersoll as Tillsonburg came in with 2 skaters unanswered and were able to slip the puck past making the score 1-0.

The 3rd period opened up strong for Ingersoll as they applied a lot of pressure trying to tie up the game. Luck must have been on Ingersoll’s side, as at 7:11 #4 Mason. D took a shot on the Tillsonburgs goalie but the puck was deflected by a Tillsonburg defense-men and found the back of the net tying up the score at 1-1. The final few minutes were rapid for both sides, Ingersoll had a solid chance when #4 Mason. D came in with a shot, then took the rebound for a wrap-around chance which was also stopped along with #18 Graeme. A taking a shot but was stopped for the 3rd time by the Tillsonburg goalie keeping the score tied 1-1.

As the clock wound down to 0, the score stayed 1-1 and Ingersoll LL #1 Anderson Appliances novice team came away with points from 2 consecutive games. On Friday the team will travel to Waterford to try and keep their point streak alive.
