Novice LL#1 Anderson Appliances vs Simcoe
Monday October 24th the Novice LL #1 Anderson Appliances hockey team was at home for their third game of the season which was against the Simcoe Warriors. Ingersoll was looking for redemption after a loss to Burford over the weekend.

The first period was a flurry of action for the Ingersoll Novice LL #1 Anderson Appliances team as they went on the offensive with multiple chances on net followed by big saves. Protecting the twine during the game was Kyle. V who had a big toe save on Simcoe in the 1st period at the 6 minute mark. Ingersoll’s #6 Brandt. K drove hard to the net during the first and was stopped by the Simcoe goalie. Next Ingersoll’s #16 Travis. N had a beauty of a centering pass out front for #19 Blake. R who was robbed by the Simcoe goalie again. Near the end of the 1st period, #18 Graeme. A also showed the great defensive skills of the Ingersoll squad by stopping a breakaway that could have surely opened up the scoring.

The second period was just as intense as the first but it was Simcoe who opened up the scoring early at the 8:40 mark by coming and just barely snaking a shot past Kyle. V blocker side. Around 4 minutes into the period it was Ingersoll who seemed to have tied up the game but the goal was called off by the referees and kept the score at 0-1 for Simcoe going into the 3rd.

After 2 strong periods of keeping the game close, Simcoe came in to seal the deal for the win and buried 3 goals at the 7:41, 5:00 and 4:28 marks to put the game out of reach at 0-4. Ingersoll didn’t lay down though and kept fighting to try and get back into the game and were successful in stopping Simcoes bid for a shutout. With almost 1 minute left in the 3rd period, #20 Ryan. W came in and roofed a goal top shelf unassisted on the Simcoe goalie to make the game 1-4.
