Shooters Sports Photography Downs Tillsonburg Jan 24th
Tillsonburg midgets came to skate on Ingersoll's pond without a goalie. The heart and courage this team showed was incredible.
Ingersoll opened scoring in the first period as Josh Holmes put the puck into the Tillsonburg net with assistance from Hayden Homewood and Jacob Vanderheide. In spite of this, Tillsonburg players made some amazing saves in lieu of a goalie.
As the game continued into the second period, no goals would be scored yet there was non-stop end-to-end action to thrill the fans.
The third period continued with great action in this outstanding game. Vanderheide was tripped, but managed to pass the puck on his knees. Shooters Sports Photography would take two more goals in the third, as Will Norris put the puck to bed, with assistance from Homewood and Vanderheide. Then another goal as Justin Koch hit the Tillsonburg mesh with a puck received from Johnny Ager and Norris.
With only twenty-nine seconds left in the game, Tillsonburg scored a goal, preventing a shut-out. Still, Ingersoll would take the game with a final score of 3 to 1.
