Shooters Sports Photography Welcomes Tillsonburg Team 2
Although Shooters Sports Photography kept the puck in the Tillsonburg zone for the first four minutes of the game, firing a barrage of pucks at the Tillsonburg goalie, it would be Tillsonburg who opened scoring in the game. Tillsonburg then proceeded to load up the penalty box, giving Ingersoll a two-player advantage for eleven seconds, and then a power-play following.
The second period would see Tillsonburg score again, amidst lots of action. In fact, at one point, the Tillsonburg coach was so caught up in the excitement of the game that he pulled the team's bench door off its hinges.
Tillsonburg continued the trend of taking a goal every period, and their third goal was had within the first five minutes of the third period. Then, with 6:24 on the clock, Walker Linklater beat the seemingly unbeatable goalie in Tillsonburg's net.
As this final period marched on, the Tillsonburg penalty box had a population of four players – a fact their fans were not happy about, especially when Craig Wild followed Linklater's lead to take another unassisted goal, giving Ingersoll two points on the board.
Still, the Tillsonburg team fans had nothing to worry about as they secured the game with four goals, to Ingersoll's two.
These two teams will face-off once again, this time in Tillsonburg, on Thursday, January 14th.
