Shooters Sports Photography Visits The Waterford Pond
November fifth, Shooters Sports Photography players looked like soldiers going over a wall into battle as reinforcements went into action, while tired men returned to the trenches for momentary relief.  This was the scene for much of this game's first period in Waterford.

Scoring opened in the first, during an array of scrambles in front of Waterford's goalie which resulted in a puck pushed into the mesh by Will Norris with assistance from Jared Campbell.

Meanwhile, Brandon Baskette, minding the Ingersoll net, had no shortage of action, with Waterford thirsting for a chance to tie the game, and applying pressure both in great plays and strong shots.

The second period featured high pressure from both teams, all over the ice.  Shooters' defensive line was incredible, while any shots that did get through were being shut-down by Baskette.

Then it happened: a penalty against Ingersoll, resulting in a two-man advantage for Waterford.

For thirty-two seconds, a three on five power-play put Ingersoll to the test.  Shooters Sports Photography players killed this three-on-five power-play followed by another ninety seconds of a regular power play. Still, Waterford was unable to beat the penalty killing of this great team, nor could they find a hole in the Baskette wall.

With the third and final period of the game winding down, Waterford pulled their goalie.  They applied the strongest pressure with the extra attacker on the ice, while their net stood empty.  Then, as the clock ticked closer to zero, Ingersoll found themselves in a penalty situation, which put them into a two-man disadvantage: six Waterford players against four, through the last ten seconds of the game.  Spectators shook from the strain of holding themselves on the edge of their seats, while the players continued to do what they had been doing throughout the game.

The final buzzer sounded a well-earned shutout for Baskette and a score of 1 nil for Shooters Sports Photography over Waterford, amidst cheers from the crowd of Ingersoll supporters.  A terrific game!  GO TEAM!
