Anderson Appliance vs Delhi Rockets
Anderson Appliance hosted the Delhi Rockets on Tuesday night and with a 4-2 loss couldn't keep the winning streak alive.  It seems to be 2 steps forward and 1 step back for this team as they struggled early and Delhi took full advantage.  The team couldn't get the puck out of defensive zone from the opening face off and the pressure was too great for goalie Riley Vyse who made a great stop from the point but the rebound was banged home at 8:15 on the clock.

Delhi continued to pour on the pressure and the Ingersoll players started to really scramble just begging the puck to get over the blue line.  Riley faced a few more shots from close range but steered the puck to the corners and made a really nice glove save.  A few more minutes ticked off the clock and the puck was fired up the centre of the ice to a waiting #9 Noah Muller who raced down and flipped the puck over a diving goalie.  Nice moves Noah!  This tied the game at 5:30.  Delhi was not deterred and forced the puck into the Ingersoll zone again and really held that blue line.  Ingersoll did a good job of taking care of the players parked in front of the goalie forcing Delhi to try to take shots from the outside.  The pressure paid off for Delhi at 1:05 catching the Ingersoll team on a line change and cashing in a goal on a 2 on 1.  Riley stop the first shot but the rebound landed right on the trailing players stick and the wide open net was an easy score.  The period ended with Delhi leading 2-1.
The second period got underway with Delhi putting out their top line and forcing the puck into the Ingersoll zone.  Riley had to be sharp as the shots came fast and Ingersoll couldn't seem to get a handle on the puck.  Every player started chasing the puck in the corners and that made it easy for the Delhi defence to work the blue line.  Riley did a good job of freezing the puck when he could to force a whistle and allow the tired Ingersoll crew to get a line change.  #8 Alex Stratton didn't waste his opportunity to clear the puck and followed the puck off the boards and behind the defender.  Alex picked up the puck and rushed the puck all alone on the goalie.  The Delhi goalie stood tall and made a great save to preserve the lead.  Maybe next time Alex!  Play continued in the neutral zone with both teams going off sides stopping play and slowing down the game.  #15 Logan Pare made a nice move at the red line finding a hole down the middle but he was stopped by the red hot Delhi goalie.  That save got the Delhi fans on their feet and fired up their team. They moved the puck back into the Ingersoll zone and did a great job of finding their positions and passing the puck around.  Ingersoll managed to intercept a pass but tried to stick handle one too many times and puck was knocked to a waiting Delhi player in front of the net who ripped the puck into the top corner.  Tough break Riley, there was no chance stopping that shot.  Delhi goes up 3-1 with 1:42 on the clock.  Ingersoll responded with amazing effort and played some really good position hockey in the offensive zone.  They players spread out and found the openings to shoot the puck.  #15 Logan Pare had a really good shot from the right hand side of the net and with 33 seconds left in the period #4 Brady Lamers was parked in front of the net and slammed home the rebound.  That was a fun goal to watch Brady!   Ingersoll was really moving now and nearly had the tying goal at the buzzer but the ref called it off.  The second period ended with a score of 3-2.
The third period started with good chances for both sides and both goalies doing their part to stop the puck.  Delhi started to regain the dominance they showed early on and after an extended time in offensive zone put another point on the board at 6:37.  This made score 4-2 and that's how it stayed until the final horn.
