Anderson Appliance vs. Burford Coyotes #1
Anderson Appliance hosted the Burford Coyotes on Tuesday and the Express Train rolled on to another win!  Ingersoll was fresh off their tournament win on Sunday and looked sharp at both ends of the ice.  Burford tried mightily but Ingersoll dominated the play and took the win with a score of 5-1.

The game started with a few quick chances at both ends of the rink as the players settled into their positions.  Ingersoll wearing the red alternated jerseys, had #20 Riley Vyse in goal and he kept in excellent position to steer clear the first shots of the period.  The puck seemed to stay in the neutral zone with both teams challenged for control.  Ingersoll put the puck in deep a few times but the Burford defence crew seemed to have a jump on the puck and cleared the zone to safety.  The puck made it's way into the Ingersoll end of the ice and #15 Logan Pare scooped it up at the side hash marks.  Logan raced the puck all alone and made a nice side step to avoid the defence man before firing a shot into the back of the net at 5:40.  Great goal Logan!  Ingersoll really settled in and won the battles along to boards to force the puck out of their end and some excellent team work moved the puck around in theirs.  #9 Noah Muller put another point up on the score clock for Ingersoll at 1:27 after he made some sweet moves and stick handled the puck across the goal line.  That was fun to watch Noah!  The period ended with a score of 2-0.
The second period started with a quick test for Riley as a Burford player took the puck in all alone off the opening face off.  Riley wasn't fooled and kicked out the pad and steer the puck into the corner.  Great save Riley!  Burford was putting the pressure on and Ingersoll really had to work to get the puck out.  The puck was sent to the net on a few occasions but nothing ever crossed the line.  Ingersoll did managed another goal at 3:07 after #9 Noah Muller took the puck for a skate by himself and flipped the puck into the top of the net from close range!  That put Ingersoll up 3-0 and it stayed that way for the rest of the period.
The third period was barely underway when Burford broke the shut out and scored a quick one.  Ingersoll failed to get the puck over the blue line and left a player all alone in front of Riley who had no chance to stop the puck.  The goal gave Burford a spark and the play continued stay in the Ingersoll zone for the next few minutes.  Ingersoll had to regroup and go back to the basics of clearing the blue line before any offence could take place.  The pressure from Burford seem to wane Ingersoll dumped the puck in toward the goal.  #15 Logan Pare picked up the loose puck and fired a solid shot on net.  The goalie made the save but the big rebound went right to #9 Noah Muller who was charging to the net.  Noah wasted no time and put the puck in the empty space as the goalie lay on the ice at 3:32.  Just being in position really paid off with a nice goal.  Ingersoll wasn't quite done putting points on the score sheet.  #3 Owen Vander Baan gone in on the action after #15 Logan Pare knocked the puck off the Burfords forwards stick and shot the puck behind the Ingersoll net.  Owen  scooped up the loose puck and charged up the open ice ahead of him.  After a little "shake and bake" at the blue line to get by the defence man he made a nice little move and flew the puck high on the short side at 1:08.  That was awesome Owen!  The score was now 5-1 and that's how it remained until the final buzzer.  Great game Ingersoll!
