Anderson Appliance vs. Elmvale
The Anderson Appliance team got up bright and early Sunday morning to be on the ice in Delhi at 8am to take on Elmvale.  It was their third game of the Hockey Moms tournament and it was a fun game to watch.  I'm not sure if it was the strong smell of bacon that had filled the room but the Ingersoll team came out the dressing room hungry for goals and pulled off a 5-3 victory!

Ingersoll blasted the puck deep into the offensive zone from the opening face-off and held the puck inside the blue line while getting a few good shots on net.  The Elmvale goalie was ready and made some excellent stops to keep the score at 0's.  Elmvale managed a clearing pass at the 7 minute mark and put a man on the break away. #5 Riley Vyse started in goal for Ingersoll and was as sharp as always making a fantastic glove save to get the crowd on their feet!  The play was back and forth until 4:52 when Elmvale went down the ice on a 2 on 1 and beat Riley on the short side. Ingersoll was still going strong for the puck and created a 2 on 1 of their own shortly after.  #14 Dylan Craib carried the puck down the left hand side and found #9 Noah Muller breaking free on the far side of the ice. Noah wasted no time and roofed the puck over the goalie!  Great goal Noah and it was all started from the assist by Dylan. Nice team work to get the job done.  Elmvale didn't quit and forced another 2 on 1 a minute later to score the go ahead goal and finish the period up 2-1.
The second period was full of scoring chances for both squads but the goalies where hot and the puck never crossed the line.  All players from both teams worked hard in the neutral zone for puck control and the defence was ready for the break out passes.  The score remained 2-1 after 2 periods
The third period started out well for Elmvale as they took the puck down the ice from the opening face off and held the puck in deep. After three quick shots the rebound was snapped into the back of the net and that goal put Elmvale up 3-1 with 9:43 on the clock.  Tough goal Riley, not much you could have done to stop that one.  With lots of time left in the game, Ingersoll went on the attack and forced Elmvale into taking a tripping penalty at 7:37.  Six seconds into the penalty Ingersoll forced the puck on net and #14 Dylan Craib was waiting to bang in the rebound on the backhand.  That was some great positioning Dylan and you wasted no time making them pay!  Nice goal.  That cut the Elmvale lead to 1 goal making the score 3-2.  Ingersoll went into full attack mode and #9 Noah Muller picked the puck from between the defence mans feet and ripped the puck high over the goalie to tie the game at 3 goals a piece!  Wow, what a shot Noah!  The crowd was cheering non stop from this point on as the game was all tied up with only 5:13 to go.  Elmvale put the puck deep in the Ingersoll zone and #3 Owen VanderBaan chased the puck down behind his own net to retrieve it.  Owen carried the puck up to the hash mark and found #9 Noah Muller streaking down the ice and nailed him with a pass at the far edge of the centre ice circle.  Noah took the puck in all alone and with a few quick moves with his stick slide the puck behind a diving goalie to put Ingersoll in the lead with only 1:51 left on the clock!  Nice team work boys!  Elmvale was double shifting their best players in hopes of tying the game at this point and pulled the goalie with a face off in the Ingersoll zone.  Ingersoll quickly snatched up the puck and moved it up the boards to the neutral zone.  Every player was digging for the puck until #15 Logan Pare grabbed the loose puck and after a few strides shot the puck into the empty net to seal the win!  The horn sounded with a final score of 5-3. Great game Ingersoll!
