Carmeuse Advances to O.M.H.A. Semi-Finals
This past week has not been an easy one for the coaches, players and fans of Carmeuse Lime Ltd.  After an exciting well-played win in Collingwood one week ago today, the team seemed to lose their winning edge, tying the next two games against the Lincoln Blades.  The two ties met that their O.M.H.A. fate would be determined by a game they weren’t even playing.  There was nothing they could do but wait for the final score of today’s 1:00 PM game in Collingwood, between the Collingwood Black Hawks and the Lincoln Blades. Carmeuse was hoping for a Collingwood victory and that’s what they got.

After breathing a sigh of relief and speaking with his team, Carmeuse’s head coach Henry Catry met with the media by telephone, where he was asked about his team’s level of play this past week and what he expects in the future.  Before he started to speak, Catry drew and big breath and exhaled slowly.

“You can only imagine how anxious I have been the past few days.  I think I will sleep a bit more soundly tonight after the outcome of today’s game.

This past week our level of play was okay, but we need to focus on the killer instinct.  If we have a team down a few goals we must bury them. After the second tie on Thursday, the coaching staff told the team to play smart and plug all lanes;  not to take needless penalties; have one player high in their zone as to not give up any odd man rushes and no player takes any shifts off and each player must play every shift as if it were his last.

As for the semi-finals, this team must continue to work hard.  We have not come this far to be shortchanged.”
