Tremblett’s Bag 5 of 8 Points
The Tremblett’s Atom AE Express had a busy week as they neared the end of their Southern Counties regular season.  The grocery boys managed to bag 5 of a possible 8 points over their four game week.

Sunday in Glanbrook the boys came home with a 3-1 win.  The Express fell behind 1-0 through the first period but the Tremblett’s team rallied in the second.  After taking Parker Huitema’s outlet pass and splitting the defense, Emmitt Robinson couldn’t get a shot away but Jax Nguyen buried the loose puck to tie the game midway through the second.  The score remained that way into the third when the power went out causing a 20 minute delay.  The Express had the momentum going into the unexpected break and continued to press when play resumed.  Bryson Green’s hard forechecking turned the puck over and he fed Robinson in front of the net for the go ahead goal.  Glanbrook pressed to get the equalizer but couldn’t score.  Nguyen took advantage of another hard forecheck by Landon Pare to score with a minute to go and seal Tremblett’s win.

The boys hit Tobaccotown the next night to take on the Delhi Rockets.  The late night before in Glanbrook left the boys a little sluggish.  The boys fought hard and earned a 1-0 shutout win.  Scoring the only goal of the game in the second period with a dash down the left wing was Nguyen assisted by Ethan Capern.  Earning the shutout between the pipes was the always reliable Seth Clark.

The Tremblett boys also traveled to Simcoe this week looking to extend their 4 game winning streak.  Again the boys played a low scoring, tight game.  This time the 1-0 shutout went against them as Simcoe came away with the two points in what was a chippy, bitter game, ending their winning streak.

The Express were looking to start a new winning streak Sunday against the Simcoe team that ended their last one.  Again it was a close contest with no scoring through the first period.  Simcoe scored early in the second off a faceoff in the Tremblett’s zone.  Tremblett’s would tie the game before the end of the period though as Dylan Daltrey fired one past the Simcoe goalie after taking a pass from Jack Brown.  Jax Nguyen also assisted on the play.  The teams continued to battle but nothing could be decided in the third leaving the game in a 1-1 tie.  The boys have one game left against the Delhi Rockets before heading into the Christmas break.
