Brokerlink Boys Overpower Glanbrook in Southern County Round Robin Play
On Thursday March 5th in Ingersoll, your Brokerlink Express team overpowered the Glanbrook Rangers 5-1 in Southern County Group “A” Round Robin play. Ingersoll took control from the initial puck drop and would cruise to victory with five first period goals being the difference. Glanbrook called time out and changed goaltenders after the third Ingersoll goal with five and a half to play in the first.  The Brokerlink Boys continued their relentless attack and would add two more goals before the period ended.

Ingersoll starting goalie Carter Spence saw very little action in the first as his team mates forced the Rangers to defend the Ingersoll offensive machine. Three minutes into the game, Tye House drove to the net and redirected a pass from Gavin Bryant. Alex Schuett and Bryant played the give and go in the Ranger zone before Bryant fired the puck to the front of the net for House to tip in. Less than three minutes later, Seth Hedges made a hard cross ice pass through the neutral zone to Owen Longlade who crossed the Ranger blue line and fired a wrist shot past the Glanbrook goaltender. The next shift, Bryant and Schuett continued with their magic. This time, Bryant tipped a Schuett pass into the cage while he was falling.

Still in the first, the Rangers called time out and changed goaltenders. One and a half minutes later, Evan Hopson found the rebound from a Brody Nurse shot, and ripped the puck top shelf. With three minutes left in the first, the potent Ingersoll power play went to work. Eight seconds later, Bryant made a great pass and House was the finisher and Ingersoll had a   5-0 lead.

The Rangers were a different team in the second. Spence was under attack at times and made several great saves. The game was far more aggressive in the second as the Rangers attempted to get on the scoresheet. Glanbrook had quite a few chances as the period was winding down. Spence was up to the task and shut the door.

Jeremy Hardeman replaced Spence to start the third. Hardeman would make his first save with six minutes left in the game as the Ingersoll defence were at their best this game. With just over a minute left in the contest, Glanbrook stole the puck at the Ingersoll blue line and scored to break the shutout bid.
