Shutout for #1 K. Brown of Anderson Appliances Novice Local League
Anderson Appliances had the home ice advantage against the Port Dover Pirates on Tuesday November 11th with a 5-0 win.
The eventful first period started off with #18 R. Bryce scoring assisted by #17 C. McNeil within the first two minutes of the period.
All the Ingersoll players showed off their passing and skating skills. The first period continued with the majority of the play in the Pirates zone. With two minutes left in the period, #19 T. Belore scored unassisted on the Pirates goaltender. #19 T. Belore scored again a minute later with some help from #11 C. Brownscombe. Wow!
The first period ended 3-0 for Ingersoll.
All the Ingersoll players continued playing strong and digging for the puck. Port Dover picked up their pace to keep up.Three minutes into the period, #10 C. Skevington slipped the puck past the Pirates goalie. Team Anderson Appliances continued to pressure the Pirates for the remainder of the second period. The second period ended, 4-0 in favour of Ingersoll.
The scoring scramble continued into the third period. #1 K. Brown "protected his home" by warding off the shots from the Pirates. Nine minutes into the third period, #8 A. Stratton made a beautiful pass over to #5 G. Folkema to finish the game off with a 5-0 score.
