On the Road Game Results in 3-3 Tie for Anderson Appliances Novice Local League
Anderson Appliances headed to Tillsonburg for a Wednesday night game on October 29th.

It was a great night for hockey. The Express players were pumped from their victory the night before. With all that unbridled energy, #3 J. Robles started the game of strong by scoring in the first minute of the game. Team Anderson continued with their game strategy of holding off the Tornadoes. With less than a minute in the period, Ingersoll received a two minute penalty. Playing short handed, Ingersoll held off the Tornadoes from scoring. The first period ended with Team Anderson leading 1-0.

The action continued into the second period. Make sure you have your reading glasses on for this next part.. The Tornadoes stepped up their game plan, putting the pressure onto Team Anderson. They succeeded with scoring their first goal with two and a half minutes left in the period. The Tornadoes thundered with another goal off the face off. Tillsonburg was now leading the game 2-1. #5 G. Folkema took his opportunity to tie the game up 2-2 with thirty seconds left in the period. Just when you think the suspense is over, the Tornadoes took the lead with only two seconds left in the period! Game was now 3-2 in favor of Tillsonburg.

The parents and fans were tongue tied. After that exciting second period, the game could go in any direction. Tillsonburg received a two minute penalty within the first minute of play. Team Anderson set up the play for #10 C. Skevington to tie the game against the short handed Tornadoes. Both teams made several attempts to take the lead in the remaining six minutes of play. Final score 3-3 tie.
