BACK TO THEIR WINNING WAYS
Express Tyke Selects Unbeaten In Last Three

The Ingersoll Express Tyke Select team had a busy homestand as they hosted three different teams in this past weekend finishing it with a 2-0-1 record.

Friday night the Strathroy Rockets came into town and the final score ended in a 2-2 tie.  Scoring both goals for the Express was Wyatt Thompson with assists going to Jorga Kloepfer, Tanner Belore and Charlie Ashman.
Saturday afternoon had the Kitchener Capitals come into town on a snowy cold January day.  The Express jumped out to an early 2-0 lead by goals from Kloepfer and Westin Matsumoto (assists by Thompson, Sam House and Jonah Martire).  The Capitals tied the game 2-2 going into the third, but Thompson, Ashman and Martire answered with three goals to give the Express a 5-2 final.

Monday night the Brantford 99ers rolled into the Madhouse on Mutual looking for a season sweep.  The Express team came out of the gates very slow and the talented 99ers team took full advantage by firing bullets at Express netminder Christopher Hardeman, managing to get one by him for a 1-0 lead.  Three minutes later Dylan Lale was able to push one across the line after defenseman Brandon Plaquet fired a shot on net from the blue line. With less than five minutes to go Ryan Wolfe (assisted by Urijiah Jewkes and Lale) went the distance around the 99ers team to fire a shot top shelf to give the Express a 2-1 lead. Wyatt Thompson (assisted Wolfe and Westin Matsumoto) gave the Express some breathing room when he took one more to the house for the 3-1 final.
