With Ayr winning the first meeting between the teams, Ingersoll came out prepared not to let that happen again.
Seconds into the first period, Tyler Watts and Nicholas Yoworski found themselves with a 2 on 1 breakaway.
When Ayr's defenseman came over and played Nicholas to shoot, he passed the puck to Tyler who was then able to put it in the net. Still in the first, Nicholas Yoworski and Tyler Watts found themselves rushing to the net. This time Tyler made a tape on tape pass to Nicholas who was then able to put it top shelf.
Second period was scoreless. Both teams had lots of chances to bury the puck but the goalies held their ground.
Rhylan Warford was able to add another one to the scoreboard when he tipped in a pass from Cohen Alexander.
With less than a minute left in the game, Ayr was able to sneak one by Ingersoll's goalie. Ten seconds later, Ayr added another one. Ingersoll rallied around their goalie and was able to come away with the win!
Next game for the Searles Novice REPS is Thursday February 6th at 6p.m. against Ayr.
