IPC Securities Update
Been a little back logged but our little engine that could has been chugging right along. With every game our little athletes have been improving more and more!
With a few games gone past without a update I will consolidate a few into the next couple of reports. With a snowy start to the New Year our Express arrived into Simcoe on January 4th for a way game. Once again our team was pinned in their own end for much of the game but a outstanding goaltending performance by Tanner Belore kept the score way under the shot count. Late in the 3rd period Spencer Krojewski had a excellent scoring chance but a fantastic save from the Simcoe netminder robbed him of his first goal.
The next day our team train arrived in Paris for our first tournament. The day started off with us against Dorchester 2. Again we started on our heels and Dorchester spent most of the game in our end riddling Kian Brown with shot after shot, Kian stood his ground and made some fantastic saves but was just over worked. Dorchester had some great skaters and a couple of snipers on their squad and they were able to out work us again. The score would have been much more in favour of Dorchester had it not been for the body sacrificing moves of Sam House. Again and again Sam was all over the diving in front of the shooters blocking pucks and saving Kian from seeing even more work. Once again though we faced a hard game and came out on the short end of the stick and lost game one.
