Well Simcoe strikes again. I am really starting to not like these Simcoe teams! The rivalry starts now!
Our train once again has been derailed in Simcoe or by Simcoe. These Teams will haunt me. Right out of the gate they were up 2-0 on us but our boys settled down and made a game of it. Once again Derek Ratelle was riddled with shots from Simcoe and he came up with some fantastic saves. He has really come into his own in the crease. Great defensive play from Cole McNeil and Ethan Kish kept the scoring chances down in the first 2 periods.
Dylan Lale with line mate Hunter Strandquist had some close chances to some big break a ways but just couldn't seem to get one past the Simcoe goaltender.
Later in the game our boys seem to get a littled tired but with the play of Owen Lively, Sam House and Kian Brown gave us some playing time in the other teams end.
Simcoe was able to hold on to the shutout but not from a lack of trying late in the game from our Express train.
Way to never give up boys. Looking forward to the upcoming Belmont tourney.
