Legion Midgets Pound Six Nations in LL Play
Your Ingersoll Royal Canadian Legion Midget LL hockey team pounded Six Nations 6-1 Jan. 08 on home ice.  From the opening faceoff, the team played with speed, focus and most importantly, discipline against a Six Nation team that had another agenda.

.  Opening the scoring in the first period was Jack Skillings assisted by Bradley Bushell.  In the second period, Ingersoll filled the Six Nation net four times beginning with a Derik Leonard blast assisted by A.J. Visser and Kirklan Clark.  Justin Han added to the Legion lead with a nice deak assisted by Leonard.  Brandon Debruyne  fired  the puck into the mesh next assisted by Mike Mannell  and Han.  Brady Soetemans scored next after receiving a great pass from Shane Pellow.  Debruyne also assisted on the goal.  Midway through the third period Mike Mannell made the score 6-0 assisted by Debruyne and Han.  Ap call up Malcolm Rowe played great for the Legion team and has been impressive this season when called upon.  Lucas Bader, Rodney Morrison and Brendan Costello anchored the defence and all performed well blocking shots and protecting the lead.  Kyle Cook earned the win between the pipes only allowing one goal late in the third period.

The Legion Midgets travelled to Port Dover Jan. 07 to open the second half of the season.  The teams entered the third period tied 2-2 with goals from Brandon Debruyne and Justin Han.  Questionable officiating ruined what was a great game until the third period.  Debruyne added another goal in the third, but the team would fall 7-3 in the end.  Assists were credited to Han(2), Bushell(2), Mannell, and Lucas Bader.
