Royal Canadian Legion Midget LL Team Will Not Quit
Your Ingersoll Royal Canadian Legion Midget LL hockey team just will not quit. This was evident at the Memorial Center on Jan 29th as the team hosted Langton. This game proved to be the most complete game the boys played all season. Langton would prevail in the end 5-4 but the Legion boys would not quit until the final buzzer.

Justin Han opened the scoring on the first shift lifting a hard shot into the net assisted by Mike Mannell and Derik Leonard. Mannell would make it 2-0 early in the second assisted by A.J Visser and captain Lucas Bader. Langton responded with three of their own in the second but early in the third period, Visser would tie the score assisted by Jack Skillings and Shane Pellow. Langton made the score 5-3 with two goals midway through the third. Ingersoll pulled their goalie with two minutes on the clock for the extra skater and was rewarded with a minute to play when Mannell scored his second . Assists on the goal were credited to Han and Brandon DeBruyne. Rodney Morrison and Brenden Costello played well on defence for the Legion. Brady Soetemans and Kirklan Clark were in the mix all game playing forward.
On Jan. 27th, the team travelled to Norwich. Again the boys would not quit. Goalie Kyle Cook played arguably his best game of the season. The game was tied until midway through the third period when Norwich scored off a rebound that the defence failed to clear.  Norwich scored with 20 seconds left to make the final 2-0.  This was a penalty filled affair with each team being called for ten penalties. The Legion boys refuse to quit and refuse to back down in the face of adversity. Next up for the team is Tillsonburg here in Ingersoll.
