Teamwork by the defense and good positional play by everyone wins game for the home team.
Canadian Tire Ingersoll played hard against a first place Langton team and deserved the victory as everyone contributed to the win with their defensive plays.
Action was fast a furious from the openning puck drop.
Canadian Tire Atom-LL put the pressure on early in the first period with Owen Longlade opening the scoring as he deked out the Langton goalie on a breakaway.
Later in the first period Owen Longlade got his second goal with a nicely placed wrist shot after taking the feed pass from Lucas White.
Ingersoll defense had to come on strong in the second period as Ingersoll Canadian Tire’s goalie Megan Longlade came up with save after save and some good back checking by Devon Dell and Shaun Holt prevented more chances on net after a barrage of shots by Langton.
Ingersoll’s Ethan Vlemmix made two end to end rushes lighting up the crowd during the game and ended up scoring on both after out waiting Langton’s goalie and putting the puck into an open net each time.
