Ingersoll Canadian Tire Atom-LL Ties Delhi LL
Your Canadian Tire Ingersoll Atom LL team travelled to Delhi Arena on Sunday November 18th and earned a tie with the host team.

Early first period action saw Ingersoll’s Megan Longlade set the tone for the game when she was called on to make a good save on a two on none breakaway early in the period with a nice butterfly style stop.

Delhi had lots of early pressure and the defence led by Megan Longlade had to be sharp to keep Delhi off the score sheet. Both teams traded chances early when Will Jones made a nice passing play to Owen Longlade resulting in a good chance on goal for Ingersoll.

The Delhi team managed to get a low shot past Megan Longlade to close out the period and Ingersoll almost tied it when Conner Kuhlman sent Cam Dench in alone but the hard shot was turned aside by the Delhi goalie.

The second period action was mostly in Ingersoll’s end as Delhi outplayed our locals and Megan Longlade was called on to make some superb saves.

Canadian Tire Ingersoll got on the scoreboard late in the second period when Ethan Vlemmix made a highlight goal by putting an amazing deke on the Delhi goalie as he backhanded the puck into an empty net.

Canadian Tire pulled ahead seconds later as Conner Kuhlman teamed up with Cam Dench on a pretty passing play to put Ingersoll ahead going into the third period.

In the third period it was all Delhi as the local squad forced Ingersoll to ice the puck many times.

Delhi tied the game when a hard pass to the front of the net was just tipped past Ingersoll’s goalie.

The game ended tied as both teams looked tired after giving an honest effort.
