In a well played game by all, Glenda Ponsonby Ingersoll Oxford Realty Pee Wee Reps tied Burford when they visited Ingersoll on Thursday October 27th.
Ingersoll came out strong in the first with Colin Weller-Burgess scoring a strong goal only a minute into the game off a pass from team-mate Sam Tasker. Then with only two minutes left in the period, Ingersoll’s Tanner Moon secured a second goal (assisted by Ethan Stevens) now leading 2-0 going into the second.
The second proved to be a fast-paced, goal scoring frenzy with 3 goals total being scored within two minutes. Burford took their first of the game mid-period with Ingersoll quickly countering when Moon scored his second off an assist from Tyler Goyette. The puck then went back deep into Ingersoll’s end where Burford applied pressure and scored; ending the second period 3-2 Ingersoll.
Only two minutes into the third Burford took their third goal of the game which is where the score board remained regardless of both teams battling back and forth with an intense sense of urgency as time counted down. Final score 3-3 bringing Ingersoll’s Pee Wee Reps stats to 2-1-1 four games into their season.
