Pee Wee Reps Make their Presence Known
Ingersoll Express Pee Wee Reps steamed through Waterford on Monday March. 5th with only a couple of games left to play in their regular season.   Our boys proved yet again, they are here to compete and have the talent to do just that, bringing home the whopping 7-2 win over the Wildcats.

In response to an early goal by Waterford, Ingersoll turned the tables and dominated the remainder of the first period with scoring three of their own.  Nathan Gould started the scoring streak at 5:17 into the period, assisted by Tanner Moon & Colin Weller Burgess, which was quickly followed by another at 4:43 when Jacob Branderhorst found the back of the net with the help of Gould & Weller Burgess.  Next, keeping with their new found momentum, Assistant Captain Brady Shapton secured the final goal of the period at 2:21 giving Weller Burgess his 3rd assist of the game.  Wow…What a first it was!

The second period proved to be a battle of both sides trying to keep the other at bay.  It only took 3 min. & 10 seconds though for Ingersoll’s Tyler Goyette to break the silence and score Ingersoll’s only goal of the period, assisted by Aaron Lonsberry.  Waterford refused to leave the period without a goal of their own and scored what would become their last goal of the game with 3:53 left, thus, going into the third with a 4-2 score in Ingersoll’s favour.

Proving why they are at the top of their division, Ingersoll displayed complete dominance of the third period scoring 3 more goals by games end, and with excellent goaltending by Noah Robinson and strong coaching from the bench, Ingesoll was able to hold off any further advances by Waterford regardless of their relentless attempts.  Lonsberry was the first to start the scoring train back up at 12:54 with an assist by Gage Langille.  Then, after coming off a hard hit at centre ice, Langille retaliated where it hurts the most…the scoreboard, when he scored one of his own at 7:35 with Lonsberry now assisting.  At 2:20 Ethan Stevens scored the final goal of the game, assisted by Langille, leaving Ingersoll with a proud 7-2 win.

It was a game that was played mostly short handed on both sides, with 9 penalties served by Waterford and 8 by Ingersoll, but regardless of the setbacks, Ingersoll finished what may be the strongest game of their season thus far.  Glenda Ponsonby Ingersoll Oxford Realty Pee Wee Reps can move with confidence towards their final game vs. Norwich coming up Thurs. March. 15th before Southern Counties Finals.
