Canadian Tire Ingersoll - Atom LL, 2011-2012 (Ingersoll & District Minor Hockey)

The Atom Canadian Tire team have played 3 games over the past week.  The first 2 games did not end in our favour, but persistence paid off and we took the victory on Friday February 3, 2012 against Tillsonburg # 2 team.    Our first game out of 3 we lost 4-1 against Langton with our only goal being scored by Nolan Costa unassisted.  It was a tough game but the players played hard.   Our next game we played against Norwich but unfortunately came up short again with a score of 4-1. 

The Ingersoll Canadian Tire played away against Waterford on Saturday January 21, 2012 to have a great come back game against them.  Despite a hard fought loss to them earlier in the month we tied the game 1-1.  It was a very exciting game and the only goal was scored by Keegan Purdy unassisted in the 3rd period.  What a great team effort and a great game by our back up goalie Matthew DeBruyn.  The stars of the game were 3rd star Donovan Purcell, 2nd star Keegan Purdy and 1st star Matthew DeBruyn.  Great game guys! 

After a tournament in Strathroy over the Christmas break we were back to the grind for the season.  We have had 5 games.  3 Wins, 1 Loss and 1 Tie.  Great work team! On Friday Jan 23, 2012 we played against Delhi # 2 team and got a shut out by our back up goalie Matthew DeBruyn.  The goals were scored by Mark Tucker assisted by Aidan Berton in the 1st period. 

The Canadian Tire atom team played again on Sunday December 18, 2011 at home against Norwich.  What a great game!  The game was tied 4-4.  The boys played hard despite having a few extra bumps throughout the game.  Our first goal was by Nolan Costa assisted by Paul Shearer.  Less than 2 minutes later we came back and scored another goal by Mark Tucker unassisted.  Our second period was very entertaining where they handed out several penalties to our team but we were still able to hold them off and score our third goal by Mark Tucker assisted by Paul Shearer.
