McNiven Insurance's Atom Rep Faces Aylmer at Home
With the series tied 1-1, the Ingersoll Express sponsored by McNiven Insurance dug in for a major win in Aylmer's barn.
The first period had the Foster, Clark and Hammond line at it again with Clayton Hammond assisting Keegan Clark for the ony goal in the first period.
The second period was scoreless with a great play by Brennan Rupert on forward and Ethan Emerson and Dayton Racicot on defense, with fellow defencemen Maxx Shelton, Matt Berzins also stepping it up.
The third period had the crowd on its feet knee deep in fingernails with pro-style back and forth action. At 13:06, Justin Holmes took off some of the pressure going unassisted to make it 2-0. At 1:39, Aylmer would score turning the heat back up with the Express only leading by 1. As Jayden Purdy stood strong between the posts, Parker Hodgson put the rubber on Cole Ellis's tape which he took to their empty net to seal the game at 3-1 Express.
