An Amazing 2 game finale for Anderson Appliance Novice LL
After a 2 games with a total of 4 overtimes, the Anderson Appliances can leave the arena knowing they played has hard as they ever have!

The first game started on Saturday March 10th, there was a huge crowd cheering on both teams.  Little did we know what we were in for.
This game started and you could just tell the kids were pumped up for something special.  The whole defensive team did a great job of blocking the Delhi team from getting into our end.  Benham Martin really got in there and was able to take the puck up into the other end to set up some nice passes to the net.  Evelea and Ally didn't let anything get by them!  And Cam White was able to get the puck away from the Delhi team when ever they crossed that blueline!

The first game had no score by the end of 3 periods, so they went into overtime.  You could just feel the excitement in the air!  Each play was cheered on by the crowd.  This continued for 3 overtime periods.  But still no score.  There was some amazing goaltending being done by Logan Brunzlow.  You could really tell how evenly matched these 2 teams really were.  The kids were so tired at this point, the convener decided that another game would be held the next day.  So everyone went home to rest up and prepare for Sunday's rematch!

The second game got going with just as much excitement as the day before, but today there were goals being scored!  For as many shots Ingersoll had on net, we just couldn't get one by their goalie, so it was Delhi who scored their first 2 goals, both in the first period, and it was like it lite a fire within the Ingersoll team.  Ingersoll knew if they wanted to stay in the game, they need to step it up a notch, and so they did!  Coming out of the second period, Cam Dench got our first goal of this final game, assisted by Joel Gardham.  And the Ingersoll crowd went wild!  We were back in the game.
The third period brought the team of Marisa Freeman and Eddie Ball onto the ice.  Marisa got the second goal for Ingersoll, assisted by Eddie Ball.  Eddie passed the puck to the front of the net, right to Marisa, and she knew exactly what to do with it! But neither team couldn't sink another one.  So they went into suddendeath overtime.  And boy was it intense!  Both Ingersoll and Delhi were such amazing hockey players, they both played hard, but someone had to win.  At the very end of the first 10 minutes with just a few second left on the clock, Delhi, picked up the puck and got it by us.
There is no denying this was an intense and amazing game.  Sometimes I think it is more intense for all of us parents on the sidelines.  We all want our kids to do well, and not matter what the outcome of today's game, you can honestly say that everyone was a winner!
Congratulations to all the players and coaches for Ingersoll and Delhi for a well played and fun hockey season!
