The Anderson Appliance All-Stars!
You could tell the team was excited to get out and play on Saturday morning. The first game of the weekend was against the Burford Bulldogs.
As the puck dropped, you could see they were ‘in it to win it!’ So the goal scoring started! Right off the bat Bryson Green sunk one, assisted by Joel Gardham. Also in the first period, Matthew Dykxhorn scored, unassisted. Those Bulldogs had nothing on Ingersoll! 5 more goals scored in the second period! Cam Dench got a hat-trick, another goal for Matthew Dykxhorn and one for Lucas Turner. The third period came around, and we still weren’t done! Our final goal was scored by Cam White, assisted by Joel Gardham and Bryson Green. A big shout out to Logan Brunzlow, our amazing goalie – another shutout! Final score was 0-8 for Ingersoll’s Anderson Appliances Novice team!
Our second game of the weekend was in Delhi – and the Rockets were on fire! We knew going into this game it was going to be a tough one, and they didn’t disappoint! Our defensice team had it together on Sunday afternoon, everytime a puck came near Benham Martin or Evelea Emmerson, they shot it back out of our end! There were loads of shots on net, and they almost got one by Logan, but he held on, he wasn’t letting go of his title, 'The Shutout King!' The first goal was scored by Eddie Ball, unassisted. He came across the net, and saw his chance, and scored the goal, topshelf, right where you keep the peanutbutter! It was like he had been practicing that move in the backyard all week long! Eddie did the same thing in the second period. The third goal was scored in the third period by Marisa Freeman. Final score was 0-3 for Ingersoll!
