Express Edge Rangers in Playoff Action

Thursday night the Ingersoll Express Searles Motor Products travelled to Glanbrook for Southern Counties Playoffs.  Short staffed going into the game as the flu bug has circulated through the team the Express would need everyone to make strong contributions in order to get the win.
Charlie Kish (assisted by Ben White and Ethan Capern) opened the scoring when he banked in White's first scoring attempt giving the visitors a boost of confidence with the 1-0 lead. Early in the third period Kish (assisted by Davin Gray and Max Bradenhorst) once again found himself alone in front of the net and buried his second of the game to give the Express a 2-0 cushion. Minutes later the Rangers gained momentum when they potted their first of the game and kept the pressure on as they had a few scoring chances, but Express goalie Gabe Robinson made a spectacular save kicking his right pad out in traffic to kick away a Ranger attempt.
The final minutes Ingersoll did a great job defensively keeping the puck in the Ranger zone not allowing their extra attacker to be any kind of factor in mounting a comeback.
The win puts the Express at 3-1 in Southern Counties Playoff action, they will host Cayuga on Thursday night in Ingersoll at 6:00pm.
