Sunday afternoon the Ingersoll Express Searles Motor Products Novice Rep team made the trip to Port Colborne to play the Sailors. The first period was a tight battle from both ends, but it was Ingersoll having a tough time getting the puck out of their own end. The Sailors offensive pressure eventually paid off as they scored off a failed clearing attempt by the Express. The Sailors scored another quick goal in the second period to take a 2-0 lead, then were penalized with back to back penalites that gave the Express a two man advantage. Twenty seconds into the two man advantage the Sailors scored a short handed goal that gave the Sailors a comfortable 3-0 advantage. For the remainder of the game the Express were unable to mount any kind of momentum to get on the scoreboard. The Express finalize their round robin play when they host Paris Monday night in Ingersoll at 6:00pm. The Express currently sit at 4-3 in their round robin playdowns.
