Novice Express Cruise to Victory in Paris
Thursday night the Ingerrsoll Express Searles Motor Products Novice team travelled to Paris for the front end of a back to back road games in their OMHA Playoffs. Midway through the first period Paris opened the scoring on a their first powerplay of the game. In the second period the hard work of Cohen Belore along the wall keeping the puck in the Paris zone allowed him to make a pass out front to Gavin Bryant who fired a shot at the Wolfpack goalie, but it was Charlie Kish (assisted by Bryant & Belore) on the door step who banged in the rebound to tie it 1-1. The Express kept the momentum going as Davin Gray (assisted by Tye House) scored late in the second period, then racking up another goal early in the third period that was assisted by Ben White. Captain Josh Clark (assisted by Alex Schuett) gave the Express a bit of breathing room when he wired a shot top corner to give the Express the 4-1 win. Ingersoll currently stands at 2-1 in their OMHA Round Robin Playdowns. Friday night the Express look to seek revenge against the Aylmer Flames who handed them a tough 2-1 defeat when the Flames scored the winner at the buzzer last week in Ingersoll. Friday nights game is scheduled for 6:15pm, with Sunday's matchup vs. Port Colbourne set for 10:45am in Ingersoll.
