Thursday night the Ingersoll Express Searles Motor Products Novice Rep team finished their regular season schedule on a winning note with a 4-1 victory over Delhi. Ben W (assisted by Davin G) got the ball rolling with an end to end rush through the Delhi defense, then managed to push the puck through the Delhi netminder for an early 1-0 lead. Early in the second period Charlie K made a great pass to a rushing Gavin B (assisted by Charlie K & Max B) cutting to the net and scored to push the lead to 2-0. Davin G (assisted by Ben W & Alex S) quickly extended the lead with a great shot from the top of the circle that beat the Delhi goalie five hole. Delhi broke Express goalie Gabe R bid for a shut out with an end to end goal of their own. With Delhi building momentum midway through the third period and looking to turn the table defenseman Nathan B made one of his trademark end to end rushes to put the game to bed and give the Express the 4-1 win.
