Tirecraft's Great Week
This past week, Tirecraft toured the southern counties with visits to Simcoe and Burford.  On the last day of the week, Tirecraft stayed home and hosted Tillsonburg.

While in Simcoe on Tuesday, February 1st, the boys played hard.  The fans were full of life – so much so in fact that a crowd management technician intervened.  In the end all fans were all able cheer for our team with as much exuberance as they liked.

Still the final score of 4 to 2 had Simcoe taking the win.  Scoring for Tirecraft was Bram O'Connor, on both goals.

Along comes Saturday, February 5th and Tirecraft finds themselves in Burford.  It was a very exciting game between two evenly matched teams.  Still, Burford had the upper hand with a 4 to 1 lead over Tirecraft.  That didn't stop the boys from coming back, however – they came WAY back from a 3 point deficit to tie the game at 5.  The entire team played together extremely well.   Those five goals were poked in by Marcus Frizelle, with an assist from Bram O'Connor and Paul Shearer; Brody Carbaugh brought out the second and third goals unassisted; Bram O'Connor followed with a 4th unassisted goal, and the final game tying point was scored by Kristopher Procter, with an assist from Marcus Frizelle.

Thankfully, this writer had twenty-four hours to recuperate from the excitement of that game as Sunday brought the mighty Tillsonburg to Tirecraft's home ice.

Tirecraft's team was dwarfed by Tillsonburg's number of players.  Tirecraft had only two substitute players throughout the game, while Tillsonburg was constantly putting fresh legs on the ice.  This truly David and Goliath match-up was wonderful to watch as Tirecraft played together, passing, setting up shots on goal, and defending with ferociousness.  The hard work paid off!

Scoring for Tirecraft was Marcus Frizelle, assisted by Bram O'Connor, followed by a powerplay goal poked in by Bram O'Connor, with assists by Derek Need and Kristopher Procter.  The final score was 2 to 1 for Tirecraft.

Let's keep up the good work boys – and let's keep up the noise, you crazy and wonderful fans!
