Tirecraft Gives Up An Exhibition & Takes Home a Real Game
Tirecraft took part in the Carmeuse Lime Invitational this weekend, inviting the Tillsonburg Atom team for an exhibition game.  Tillsonburg accepted the invitation and met Tirecraft on Ingersoll ice, Saturday, February 19th; but the weekend didn't end there: February 20th saw Waterford visiting Tirecraft's home ice for another great match-up.

Tirecraft started the game against Tillsonburg with a bang – that is, a bang right into the net.  Within the first nine seconds of play, the score was 1 to 0 for Tirecraft, following a blast by Bram O'Connor.

The play was furious throughout the remainder of the game including some surprising body checking, ruthless tripping, and wild hooking.  Bodies were stacking up in front of both nets as players dug wildly attempting to find holes in the goalies through wish to poke home a puck.

Kristopher Procter found one of those holes and buried that puck, with an assist by O'Connor.  The digging didn't stop there however, as O'Connor found another way to put that darn puck into Tillsonburg's net, with assistance by Paul Shearer.

The carnage of this game continued, and unfortunately saw Tirecraft the victim of collateral damage as Tillsonburg took home the win with a final score of 6 to 3 in this exhibition game.

Sunday's game against Waterford was anything but exhibition.  The Tirecraft boys brought out the fury of their skills against their rivals.  This writer wasn't sure if the team had hockey sticks, or machine guns loaded with pucks.  Shot after shot found the Waterford net.  Brody Carbaugh took home a “Tirecraft hat-trick PLUS” with four goals after receiving lots of help from his team mates.  Assisting Carbaugh were Marcus Frizelle, Paul Shearer, Anthony Ziraldo and Jonathen Landsborough.

Further Tirecraft goals were put in the net by Shearer, Ziraldo, and Frizelle, with assists by O'Connor, Shearer and Frizelle!

The final goal of the game was tucked away by Camden Mcdougall, bringing a final score of 8 to 1 for Tirecraft.  That score of course was brought with great effort by Tirecraft's incredible goalie, Connor Young-Craig.

A great game by Tirecraft, giving the team a desire to feel that fire again as they face Six Nations in an away game on February 26 at 3pm.  Come out and support these amazing young hockey players!
