Ingersoll Douses Aylmer's Flames
Jan 21 the Your Financial Partners PeeWee Reps hosted Aylmer’s Flames in the team’s last regular season appearance on home ice. Chris Dimmers lit up the board from behind the net early in the first, banking one in off play sent ahead by linemates Parker Moon and Jeff Couse.
Midway through the period Thomas Larder posted one through traffic from
behind the net, set up by Dimmers. Into the second Larder was back for
more, picking up the rebound from Dakota Lednicky off of a pass at the
blue line from Zach Staddon. Joel Couse followed suit, rifling one
from the bottom of the circle moved over through the offensive efforts
of Jeff Couse and Daniel Lindsay. Lednicky closed out the scoresheet
with a backhand shot in the third picked up from Joel Couse and Cole
Mayo at the line. The boys played with great energy and a good deal of
determination throughout the night and were rewarded for their efforts
with the 5-3 victory.
Jan 24 the Express was in Norwich to face the Knighthawks in their
last league match-up of the year. Although the PeeWees battled hard
through the penalty kills, Norwich took the game in a 4-1 final.
Ingersoll’s lone goal came on a shorthanded breakaway when Staddon
chipped it in over the line and beat the Knighthawks’ netminder low on
the left side.
Feb 4 the PeeWees will be home at 8:10pm with the first round of post-season play still to be determined.
