PeeWee Reps Determined to Keep Chipping Away...
The Your Financial Partners PeeWee Reps tacked one to the board early in a road match against Langton on Dec 16.  Chris Dimmers emerged from a scrum at the net to stuff in a pass through traffic from Joel Couse in the first.

The Leafs retaliated with two in the second but late in the period Adam Dzyngel tied it back up with a shot from the point, dug out and passed by Brandon DeBruyne.  Langton jumped ahead again in the third but 26 seconds later Jeff Couse evened the score hitting the back of the net off of a pass carried in by Zach Staddon, sent ahead by DeBruyne.  Throughout the game Ingersoll worked hard to control the play in their offensive zone and curtail Langton’s scoring chances but the Leafs came out on top in a 5-3 final.
Dec. 17 the boys reassembled on home ice to battle Simcoe in the last contest before the break.  Ingersoll’s Colton Cameron fed Luke Zegers who notched the team’s lone goal of the game in a 5-1 loss to the Warriors.
Dec. 30 the Express suffered a 4-0 loss to Port Dover but was back in fine form Jan. 3 to kick off the new year in Aylmer.  Daniel Lindsay moved the puck well putting it in play for Jeff Couse to beat the Flames’ netminder.  Joel Couse followed suit, unassisted, as did Zegers who set up Thomas Larder for Ingersoll’s third of the night.  Aylmer took advantage of an empty net in favour of the extra attacker late in the third.  They went up by one and scored one more in the dying seconds for a 5-3 Flames final which, once again, didn’t at all reflect Ingersoll’s efforts.
Jan. 7 the PeeWees maintained a good offensive tempo and exhibited solid defensive and physical play at home in a rematch against Port Dover but ultimately fell to the Pirates, 2-0.
Jan. 13 Your Financial Partners were in Caledonia to start the first round of this year’s OMHA playdowns.  Zegers went to the open side early in the second off of Larder’s rebound at the net which brought the Express to within two, at 3-1 Thunder.  Caledonia was quick to respond, though, tallying three more before it was over, resulting in a 6-1 Caledonia win.  Goaltender Lucas Malchesky turned in a particularly strong performance peppered with a number of deflected shots and some fine glove saves.
Jan. 14 the Express regrouped to host Game 2 of the bout.  Caledonia jumped ahead early and capitalized on several powerplays though Ingersoll put together some good offensive rushes through the first and into the second.  Larder chalked up Ingersoll’s first of the night in the third, picking it up in front of the net from Parker Moon.  Cole Mayo and Jeff Couse then put it in play for Joel Couse who found the slot for Ingersoll’s second, but the final score was a 6-2 Thunder win.
Game 3 of the series is back in Caledonia on Wednesday January 20 at 7pm.  Good luck, boys!
