Team Update
Ingersoll Vanbeeks entered the Max Partlo Memorial Tournament with their first game Thursday night against a strong Tillsonburg team. Ingersoll appeared to start sluggish and found themselves down 4 – 2 after the first period but getting goals from Julian Gillespie – Wilson assisted by Zach Catry and Eric Thorne as well as Warren McSwiggan from Jared Campbell and Stephan Robson .

In the second period Tillsonburg potted two more with Gillespie – Wilson from a nice centering pass from Ben Anderson . Tillsonburg had one more goal in third to make final Tillsonburg 7 Ingersoll Vanbeeks 3.

On Saturday Ingersoll returned to face a strong Welland team fresh off their hometown championship handing Ingersoll a tough defeat 11 – 0 .

Ingersoll Vanbeeks returned Sunday morning to face Paris in D Finals . Starting a little sluggish again and finding them selves down 3 – 0 after the first the Red Express scored their first goal from Gillespie – Wilson assisted from McSwiggan and Campbell , Paris responded twice then  Gillespie – Wilson again from Zach Catry and Will Norris leaving the score Paris 5 Ingersoll 2 . In the third period after a short chat with their coaches the Ingersoll Vanbeeks seemed determined to finish their season on a happy note as they all picked up the level of play shutting down any scoring drives Paris attempted, with 3:12 left to play Ingersoll began their best comeback of their season as Campbell stripped the Paris defenseman of the puck and scoring unassisted to lift Ingersoll hopes . This set the stage for an exciting finish as Ingersoll coaches stressed to all players WE GOT THEM on the ropes!!! . With 1:49 left McSwiggan scored from Gage Langille and Gillespie - Wilson and not leaving Paris time to settle Langille scored from Catry and Eric Thorne eight seconds later . Not to let his teammates down goalie Josh Adams made 2 great saves back to back to send game to OT.  The overtime format was a 3 on 3 . Off the faceoff Paris gained control but great backchecking from Gillespie – Wilson stopped them then passing to Langille streaking towards the Paris end ripping perhaps his hardest shot of the year which a rebound came out to a trailing Catry who slammed it home sending the Red Express to a 6 – 5 victory with fans and players cheering wildly . Coaches and parents gathered in dressing room after commenting on an all team effort and desire. Way to go team.  Team members are Goalie Josh Adams, Defence - Will Norris, Eric Thorne,  Zach Catry and Stephan Robson.  Forwards Cody Morrison , Gage Langille , Warren McSwiggan  , Jared Campbell , Tristan Berto, Ben Anderson , Robert Brown , Julian Gillespie - Wilson .
