INGERSOLL EXPRESS ATOM REP VS. TILLSONBURG TORNADOS
The
Ingersoll Express played the Tillsonburg Tornados on our home pad. It was a
tight match and our boys held their own tonight giving The Tornados a run for
their money.
The first period was quite intense as energies were high and a hunger for a win was on everyone’s mind. Peter was making fantastic saves all period denying the Tornados any opportunity to score. Unfortunately, with one man in the sin bin, Tillsonburg scores the first goal of the night.
The second period was a real nail biter. Again Peter made great deflections and even with one man down, The Express are putting up a solid fight to get the puck out of their end. The crown is cheering on their team which only adds to the energy in the arena. It was a busy second period and Ingersoll had some great shots on net with no success but they are not giving up. The period ends with no goals.
The Express are doing a great job keeping the puck out of their end but Tillsonburg manage to score a second goal. With only a few minutes left of the third period, The Tornados get a penalty and Ingersoll calls a time out. They are determined and with 24 seconds left of the third period Kohen scores a goal for Ingersoll. The game ends with Tillsonburg taking home the win, 2 to1.
The Express might not have won this game, but they most certainly put up a strong fight to the very end! Great job Express!
